This is the type of gear/equipment that I don't mind spending $$ for quality. Pricey, I know, but it'll last a lifetime.

Looks good. I'm assuming that it works as advertised and you're happy with it?

It's on my list of things to buy.

There's no doubt it is expensive, but I got hooked up and couldn't pass up the deal. It is also a pretty big oddity on the side of your truck but once deployed, which is easy, it is worth it!

Looks great... any chance you have any pictures of it not deployed? It looks functional enough for me not to care, but I'd be interested in seeing how big of an oddity you're talking about.

Thanks man! I personally don't think it looks bad. It isn't any more cumbersome or awkward than the ARB 2500 model, and it looks much more functional. I've been looking at them for a while and I think you just made up my mind.

I took my truck on its first camping trip a week ago. I bought my camper on Friday and we took off in it on Saturday. What a fun trip... went to Greer's Ferry Lake and did some trout fishing and camping. Got 22 mph on the trip with all of our gear driving in the hills. I built a platform in the bed of the truck....We slept inside the camper shell on an air mattress. I used the SUV tent as a living room.

I've been looking at the Zippo 4 in 1, smaller but versatile.

Only thing stopping me is Zippo isn't known for their axes, but they are known for quality!

The same shit everyone else has.
"X" in 1 items seem hokey to me usually. They typically do all the jobs ok, but none of them great.

I may be wrong on this one though.

Thoughts on water jugs? I wanna replace my leaky collapsible 5 gallon just with a hard plastic jug.

I like the idea of a Jerry can but dislike the spout. I've seen people add spigots to them but they seem to stick out so far and may get ripped off.

    I've been eyeing these - https://relianceproducts.com/products/hydration/79.html

    Thoughts?

I'd much rather have a spigot. Plus I really like the idea of being able to flip the spigot to the inside when not in use to protect it.

I think that's what a lot of people use. They are readily available at a lot of stores and most places have the replacement parts too. Someday I want a mounted tank with a pump though.

Wow, I missed seeing this before, too! I have had to use the square blue ones from Wal-Mart (Aqua-Trainer) and they can't hold up to the bouncing in Baja and every trip I have put cracks in them from the intense bouncing... Even if strapped down on multiple folded tarps for soft bottom. They still bounce and the weight wrinkles the plastic and a crack forms... So, half the trip, they are turned upside down (crack side up).

I hope these are stronger... and only a couple dollars more than the square blue container.
