Where did you stay (site number/location)? How busy is it down the on the weekend? The last time I was down there, 99% of the sites were empty, but it was a rainy Friday afternoon..

I wanna head back down there one weekend before it gets cold and fish both the Upper and Lower Savage.

 

Decided to go camping this past weekend at Pingree Park, Bellvue CO. We were able to get our favorite spot near the top of one of the ridges. Thought I would share a few pictures with some like minded individuals

 

I can't remember the exact site number but we were at the junction of savage river road and poplar lick trail. We had a couple camped at the next site there but when we fished upstream on poplar we didn't see a single other person. I had fun catching brooks but I want to go back and spend some time fishing the lower next time

 

Love it up there.

I fished Poplar Lick when I was there back in July. FULL of healthy brookies.

 

I think it adds more like 1.178 mpg
