My days off never match with the rest of the family. Tuesday and Wednesday days off. The company I work for makes everyone plan all their vacation before January 1st. That sucks for trying to plan a trip.

When all you do is take pictures of your truck, you have to learn to add some scenery in there now and then

Recent upgrades from my old bedrack v.2 and smittybilt tent. White DCSB in my pics has that setup now.

All aluminum shell with pop top roof and ARB awning. Roof will get enclosed once I figure out wtf I'm doing. And a drawer/sleeping platform is on the list as well.

Realized I didn't take more than a couple pics at one location. Did meet Jim Bob at King of Hammers though. Cool dude, sweet truck. Rest of the pics are along the Mojave Road. IMG_20180209_073324.jpg IMG_20180210_122812.jpg IMG_20180210_101938.jpg

    Anza-Borrego Feb 2018 Family Camping / Exploring

I took my family to the desert and explored a few canyons. It was a fun two nights and a great time to get away.

Thanks. Glad you got out there too! The high desert is always going to be chilly in winter at night. Anza is low desert elevation was 600' above sea level. So winter temps are mild. Even so, we heat our tent with a Mr Buddy heater. Runs all night on low setting.

We camped Saturday night which was calm and very mild, my wife kept commenting on how warm it was. Had coyotes talk at various hours during the night. Woke up at 5 am Sunday to wind gusts. Stayed breezy all day Sunday and into the evening. Monday was probably 10* cooler on average. We drove thru the Cuyamaca mountains on the return drive home. It was 35-38* there and lots of wind.

    Yeah that's freezing! :D:anonymous:

you likely already own everything you need to stay warm down into the 20s. bring blankets, a down comforter or extra sleeping bags unzipped over the sleeping bag you are in. sleep in plypro long-johns, long thick socks, wearing a thin beenie.

Oh man. This is a great thread. My fiance and I plan to camp all of the Texas State Parks before we have kids I think there is over 80. I've also convinced her to let me get bed bars, a RTT and bed stiffeners.

Here are a few pictures off my phone from Colorado Bend State Park. I think the others are on my camera

I wish I had done more camping in mine before I had to let it go. Gonna post the camper shell in the for sale section soon if anyone is looking this spring.

i have a two week trip starting a week from today. Oregon to South Western Utah, AZ and CA, then home. I'll post a few picks along the way. My truck has been sitting too long and currently looks like this.
