Not sure. We were following @.45 JHP and didn’t have Gaia on. It was in MNP though. Beautiful spot!

Sounds like that was the spot probably. Just north of I40 by about five miles. Hope Expo was fun!

Yes please post in this thread any planning, measurements used or procedures you employed setting this up. You are the first on TacomaWorld ive seen to utilize this solution, bravo !

At first glance, it doesnt make sense that a black tarp made of plastic would keep the roof of your camper cool, but I suppose by some form of magic it happens anyway.

Looks cool. I like the idea of hammocks, but I have never found a comfy one

They're definitely different, but I've found that the pitch and the way you lay in them plays a big roll. With the right pitch I have no problem sleeping on my side or anything. Setup and take down are a big winner for me, super quick and easy, plus in the summer the lightest breeze will cool you off, way more comfortable than sweating in a tent. Winter camping definitely makes things more complicated though lol

    Look at hammockforums.net
Find a hang in your area.
    Look at/try the various hammocks.

I now prefer a bridge hammock.
There are quite a few of those.

The emo hammocks and similar are super convenient but I can't sleep in them over night. A nap is fine but my back hurts if I'm in them to long.

If either of you are interested in some local history (can't remember if it's Big or Little Belt range), 'This House of Sky', autobiography of Ivan Doig is highly recommended - well at least by me. He really knows how to use and string together words to make your mind spin. Only two of his books are non- fiction but all of them are wonderful to read.

    Embrace your new home.
