Not a strange question at all. It’s called a Coleman Pack-Away Folding Table. Looks like they have updated the print on the table top since we got ours but this is the same table:

Thinking of adding a second battery...
For the guys that own a TEPUI tent, when was the best time to buy one? I've been after one of these tents and I almost pulled the trigger over the holiday season but decided to wait as I already had other things planned before I found out on their holiday sale... Their site always shows they have no stock. I will be basically buying the entire line/accessories that come for the tent (Ruggedized Autana 4) such as the vestibule, lights and so on... Is it best to call these knuckleheads? I've emailed them x2 from their site but I guess they probably have no idea they can get emails. When I buy this tent, is gonna be some big coin dropping on them. Like I said, I will be buying everything related to the tent. Thanks!

    Couple things here -
    1. Adam @Box Rocket can likely help you with a Tepui purchase.
    2. Tepui was recently acquired by Thule. Not sure if that's got anything to do with your experience...the plan (as I understand it) was to not impact the Tepui business at all.
    3. I've heard that you can get 20% off Tepui's at REI 20% off sales, if you have an REI nearby.
    4. If for some reason Adam isn't able to help you out, then my next question would be "does it have to be Tepui?" CVT @Cascadia Tents are essentially the same thing (you'd be looking at a Mt. Shasta Extended Summit), so you could work with them on a similar purchase. They have sales frequently (frankly, so does Tepui) and will probably have one around tax time, if history is any indicator.

PS - love my CVT, mostly. Wish I could get a rain fly without the stargazer windows. Everything else is awesome, and you can see how much I use it in the various trip reports I've posted here (and in my build/adventure thread). CVT as a company is nothing short of awesome.

I'd slept well through the rain, earplugs doing their job to mute the noise of the drops on the tent. But they did little to soften that first clap of thunder. It wasn't until the next flash of lightning that I could count the delay - about 8 seconds - not too bad.

But then more lightning. And more. It was constant, as the wind continued to whip at the tent. And it was getting closer. 7 seconds. Then 5. Eventually, I could barely...

...We'd spent a good amount of time on this canyon crossing and we had a way to go before we reached the Grand Bench. Our discussion now - given the clearly impending rain and weather warnings on the ham radio - was about whether we wanted to camp at Grand Bench or try to make it out and back through this section of trail before the ground was saturated.

Ultimately, we decided that either way we were going to Grand Bench, and that we better get on it. So we did.

Read what happened, and check out some crazy photos: F.U.Rain Day 8 - The Grand Bench is a Grand Mess

Thanks for the kind mention. However, with the Thule acquisition of Tepui there are some changes, as one would expect. Thule has a huge network of reps and salespeople and will be utilizing that for the benefit of Tepui. However, since Thule is bringing in their own team my position as a rep was dissolved so I am no longer working with Tepui. Sadlly, that also means the forum member discount I've been able to offer for years is gone too. I'm still happy to answer any questions regarding Tepui products, but I can't help with purchases moving forward. Sorry.

...Finally, we spotted the main wash through the canyon. Still a half mile or more away, it was clear to us at this point that we were likely to have a problem - the wash, which had been completely dry the day before, was a rushing river, all the washes we'd passed so far feeding into it...

It was muddy and we had a quarter mile of wash to drive through...

    The slot canyons were amazing!

As we wrapped up our exploration and pulled back onto the road toward camp we stumbled across The Devil's Garden - a "garden" of hoodoo's (and one arch), brilliant orange against the late afternoon sky and clouds...

If you're ever in the area, this is something you absolutely can't miss - but for now, check it out in
