And Away We Go..,B9A21E45-40DA-4D4E-ABEB-704F45F40F77.jpg Had to stay close to home this year...so 4 days at Kanasket Palmer out of Enumclaw WA. Served as a temporary location. A place to relax and unwind ( and not wear a mask ). Maybe we will get to Colorado next year...

Rained our last night. Got the tent down just in time. A simple canopy with a shower room kept us dry, the built in kitchen provided all the conveniences of home. Another reason I’m glad I built the drawer bed system for my truck.

Great looking setup! Which shell is that and any advice or input on it?

Thanks man! It's the RLD Design USA cap. They're a company from South Africa but they now distribute to the US. So far it's been amazing. Keeps all my stuff secure and it's easy to access all the gear in the bed. It's made of stainless steel and weighs about 185 lbs for the 6' bed version. I ordered it from Rhino Adventure Gear in San Marcos.

...Nevada's BDR is known to be a bit different than some of the others. Most interesting is the temperature differential between the northern and southern ends of the route - even as the north is still covered in snow, temps in the south reach over 100°F. For that reason, a lot of travelers split the trip into two - doing the southern route in winter or early spring and the northern bit come summer.

But not us; we're not that smart. Well no, that's not it exactly - it's just that the time we had to do the trip happened to mean we'd be doing it all in one shot. And we'd be doing it from north-to-south, just because we thought that'd be logistically easier.

At least, that was the plan....

Nice man I’m leaning towards the Alucab with ikamper mini for future build. But the vagabond and gfc are on the list as well. Gotta hook the wife runner up first though haha.

...Having visited the spectacle a couple times in the past, we knew what to expect and were looking forward to it! The cars - buried and stacked in various positions around the forest - have attracted various graffiti artists over the years, and while forest itself is stationary, the artwork is quite the opposite....
