There has been lots of earthquakes happening this week so Halemaumau may be ready to erupt. Could make for an exciting camp trip…

 

They're draining Blue Mesa to help out w/ Lake Powell. It's crazy out west right now! In regards to the tires, thanks. These Maxxis Razr ATs might be the only tires I use going forward. Road manners are fantastic and, for what I do offroad, they've been great!

 

I'm liking them so far, we'll see how well they hold up on my Duramax.

After 9 months, i finally got the truck out to the beach. Our first time beach camping turned out really good. We will definitely do it again. We stayed at Padre Island in Tx.

 

Looks like fun!

 

I've been waiting to get across the Canadian border for a year, and with it finally open again, I took a few days to explore the West Koots in British Columbia. Fantastic.

3 days/2 nights truck camping, hiking and pumpkin carving...

Cool enough at night that I didn't need mosquito netting, 1st night in to the 30's, 2nd night 40's.
Since I had dental work earlier in the week, I decided to make my Jack O'Lantern a sorry, one-toothed bastard, someone to commiserate with.
As I was in bear country, I had to dispose of my pumpkin guts away from camp.



Oooooh yes, 6 feet of 3" plushness; slept with the back open the 2nd night, only in the 40's...



Exploring off trail, I found the remnants of an old cabin up on a ridge...




Found these weird looking mushrooms along a forest roadside, I know plants, but not fungi; any one see these before?

I think those are shaggy manes. edible, but dont take my word for it when it comes to eating wild mushrooms.

We spend a lot of time exploring new places here in Maine. Recently we added a Solo Bonfire and love how cheerful it makes camp.

That’s a beautiful spot. Ever worry about flash flooding in a canyon like that? I haven’t spent much time in the desert so Im just curious

 

Yup! Always check the weather before you camp in any slot canyon and even then, rain could be hundreds of miles away and still find its way into the canyon. It’s more likely to happen during the summer monsoon season but always be cautious
