We got our fridge a little bit ago. IndelB TB51 with the cover and I got the drawer slide for it also

    Added some auxilary lighting

I stripped the tongue of everything and removed the factory hitch, added another cross brace and extended the tongue along with installing a lock n Roll hitch

Next up will be building a steel box to mount on the tongue which will house the fridge and storage

Took a three night trip into southern British Columbia to do some exploration and camping. It does not disappoint, with epic views everywhere. Trip totaled a bit shy of 900 miles, with 200-250mi of that off the pavement on the backroads.

First night we stayed near Squamish. We first went up to Levette Lake Rec site, but the warm sunny weather meant the few campsites there were already taken, and there were a lot of people up there off-roading and dirt biking, so we headed back down the hill. Just across the highway we checked out Alice Lake Campground, which turned out to be what I call a fancy campground (running water, flush toilets, and even showers). But it wasn't too crowded, and the sites were decently well spaced, so we made that our home for the evening. Picture taken the following morning just before rolling out:

Heading up highway 99 we stopped at Brandywine Falls for a quick walk and some pictures. First the falls themselves:
    WqqWz3n - Imgur.jpg

Then the view down the canyon toward Daisy Lake:
    2IzVy7k - Imgur.jpg

We stopped in Whistler for a quick snack and coffee break, then pushed onward North up 99 to Pemberton where we topped up the tank and headed up toward Pemberton Meadows. The goal was to make it to Gold Bridge, and Kingdom Lake that afternoon via Railroad Pass on Hurley Main aka Hurley River FSR. Railroad Pass had other ideas, because a number of miles up, the road was still covered in snow and slush. We aired down and began pushing slowly forward. It was difficult to maintain momentum against the snow and grade, which meant overall forward progress was very slow. Making only a few hundred yards in 30-40 minutes, we threw in the towel and headed back down to Pemberton in search of another way. This picture was after turning back, looking back up toward Railroad Pass (to the left of the distant hill, behind the nearby trees):

Looking over the map, I found another way through. A road going North out of Mt. Currie just East of Pemberton, which changed names a few times and passed by Anderson Lake. At this point I think the road was named Anderson Lake Road:

    nUXeMun - Imgur.jpg

This eventually got us to BC highway 40 along the North side of Lake Carpenter:

With the sun fast approaching the horizon we scrapped the original plans of Kingdom Lake and instead headed up to check out Marshall Lake, arriving just after sunset. This turned out to be a very nice quiet campsite, next to a calm lake. We had two neighbors, both with trailers, and I think they worked at the nearby logging operation as I saw one of them leaving at about 5am and soon after heard the distant sounds of heavy equipment. The loons were calling all evening and through the night, making for a bit of an eerie atmosphere.

The fog on Marshall Lake in the morning:

And our campsite at Marshall Lake:

From there we pushed on to Gold Bridge, passing by Gun Creek campground on the way in. We liked the look of it, but wanted to actually hit yesterday's destination and check out Kingdom Lake before deciding which to stay at. Arriving at Kingdom Lake midday we stopped for lunch, and determined mostly due to the mosquitos that Gun Creek would be a better spot for the night.

    Kingdom Lake during lunch break:

Before heading to camp for the night, we fueled up in Gold Bridge, and then went South along Hurley River FSR to see how far the snow came down the North side of Railroad Pass:

Snow was found about 20 miles later. This was after I'd turned the truck around, standing roughly where I gave up:

Some random waterfall from the road while heading back down Hurley River FSR:

Back down next to camp, we took a short detour to check out the remains of an old mining town that became an internment camp for Japanese-Canadians during the war named Minto City. It's in what is now Carpenter Lake, and thus can only be accessed when the water is low, but you can see building foundations, roadbeds, and a bunch of rusty pipes and debris down there. In this picture you can somewhat make out some of the foundations over beyond the truck:

Our third and final campsite of the trip, Gun Creek Campground:
    1npMfs5 - Imgur.jpg

The next day we packed up and drove highway 40 to Lillooet, then down 99 back to Vancouver for the non-camping portion of the trip. No pictures along this portion as we didn't stop much. Amazing views continued though, and I highly recommend anyone who loves the mountains and hasn't been to BC to go. I will certainly be back for more.

When sleeping in your tents/campers/etc, do you guys do anything special with your key fobs? Is there a way to prevent someone from just walking up to the drivers door, opening it and driving off with you inside? :D

I bring the key fob in the shell with me and lock up from there. Unlock and crawl out in the morning.

That is funny ...never thought of it but would be a fun ride for awhile...I tend to always carry a weapon....I guess I could try to shoot through top of cab and stop them ...make for a great movie

    Cheers

Ps Unhook battery or put a big dog outside ..maybe hook a chain to tree and tent so you stay there....I usually can’t find my key fob anyway...

If you hold the lock button and press unlock twice it will turn the communication off from your keyfob. That way the door handle won't unlock or lock the vehicle. Once you press unlock or lock on the fob again it will begin communicating again.
