Got out and explored a little of the German countryside! First time setting up the annex. Overkill for a weekend, but will be great for the longer trips!

In the day and age of outdoors enthusiasts intentionally not sharing locations for fear of them getting trashed, I'd suggest approaching such questions with a bit more courtesy and a considerably less demanding tone. Or figure it out yourself, "computer specialist."

Your dogs are fat. You should feed them just raw once a day, you'll notice changes in a week. There is no difference in quality of kernel for a dog, it's all bad.

I really appreciate this sentiment. I have hundreds of gigs of pictures and videos of some amazing places, and I honestly rarely share much because of that exact concern. Being a CO native, I've seen many of my favorite places get demolished by overuse and under-appreciation, so I'm always worried if I share an amazing place online I could be driving more traffic to these unspoiled places.

These were all near the Moab area but not on "popular" trails - shoot me a PM if you want more specific info.

No need to be such an asshat or condescending about a simple and honest question. It was in no way asked in a demanding tone. It was a question, not a statement. As an amateur nature and wildlife photographer, I get the concerns and have been leery of folks as well because locations can be damaged by careless and selfish people. And yes, protecting a location’s integrity is important to me too, especially that of innocent wildlife.

I’ve never been to Moab, I’ve only seen it in pictures, so I had no clue if this was a well known location, popular, secret or otherwise. Hence why I asked a simple question. The individual I asked was professional and polite about it and I sent him a PM as advised.

So you can take your holier than though attitude and shove it up your arse. And don’t get me started on your snarky “IT Specialist” comment. That’s an entirely differently rant that these folks don’t need to be subjected to.

I remember the days before the internet when you had to go out and explore to find these places. You bought a map of the area you wanted to explore and probably a guidebook, then you spent time looking over them both and planning where you wanted to go, then you packed up and went with no real idea of how the place looked on the ground until you got there. Sometimes it was disappointing to show up to an area and realize your expectations of it wasn't even close to reality.

In the last twenty years or so the internet has changed all that, with the availability of trail reports, photographs, Google Earth, etc. all at the tip of your fingers. These are all great tools that I've used myself, but its also a double edged sword for sure when it comes to exploration these days. Overall I think its taken something away from the exploration piece of getting out there and seeing what's over the next hill, I'm not so sure that the advantage of these tools outweigh the cons but this is the world we now live in.

have you noticed a big difference with the big tires pulling the camper? Those are the tires I want but the weight is scaring me off. I tow a boat or a camper.

Yes there definitely is a difference with the 255 85 r16 load E tires. The truck does have 4.88s and with 60 psi in the rear tires the truck pulls just as good or better than stock.

These tires with stock diff gears and towing was pretty gutless after 60 mph but still doable.

Yeah the internet has definitely been a blessing and a curse for a lot of things. It kinda ruined sub cultures. There's no more surprises or real secret spots for anything anymore. Restaurants, camp spots, music venues, ski terrain, surf spots, exotic travel locales, fashion styles. People don't have to get vetted or hear about something first hand from somebody in a group before joining things. They just google it and show up. Often times putting themselves or others at risk or ruining a good thing. It has taken the fear away from people. People who wouldn't have done much exploring 15, 20 or 30 years ago cause they probably wouldn't have been exposed to it, are now, because of the internet. Which I guess is a good thing but it can definitely cause problems. Don't get me wrong I like the internet and cell phones and everything, it makes life easy but I do miss the way things used to be.

Here are a few from central coast area. First ones were in a freak rain storm. Literally it was 80deg and sunny, like 20 min later thunder and lighting.

The tent never leaked a drop, although this was the first time Ive used the lower canopy.
