Cool I'm going this week. Portsmouth island. Its gonna be hot lol

 

As an Oregonian, I have never heard of this place.

 

Portsmouth Island is awesome, been there twice last summer, bring plenty of whatever you will need, watch out for the Raccoons at night. They can get into damn near anything and they are extremely friendly. Where are you coming from?

Basic Camping trip to pismo 2 nights
The Taco pulled 2 quads at about 55 speed limit no problem
Great weekend only downfall was a couple of Racist A*h*les driving around smoking and drinking (patrolling the dunes)

 

Enjoy, listen to the Ferry boat captain when you get on the Portsmouth Island ferry. He backs you on and it's a tight fit. They have gas on the island and ice. Little pricey, but it's available at the ranger station house in the south village. If you take an ATV you can ride up to the North village, kind of like a ghost town. Pretty neat place, but don't drive your truck through the path to the North village. Enjoy

The entire beach is for ORV, ATV or Side by sides. Ride anywhere anytime, the rangers and biological folks tend to leave by 4:00 everyday, 5:30 at the latest and the island is pretty much a private island. Lock it in 4 and ride. It's great, if you fish, try out the south inlet. I have had great luck there for flounder, drum and sea Mullet. Awesome get away for sure.

Spent a long weekend in Tahoe NF. Beautiful but lots of skeeters right now. Got in some decent 4 wheeling and put the new suspension to the test! Time to get a DA so I can buff out our new pinstripes though.

 

Mid Week camping trip in Idyllwild, CA and near by areas. Never gonna own another truck than a Tacoma!

 

Your set up is so sick. We should have met up. TNF, around grouse ridge. I earned some stripes too, and broke in those rays also.

 

We ended up setting up shop in the Matchless Campground at Turquoise Lake, CO.
