Another short but sweet trip up to Mendo. There’s a great swimming hole on the Eel River I’ve been to a couple times. There’s a pretty wide water crossing that keeps much of the riff raff away from this spot. We walked the crossing before going so we knew what we were getting into. Still didn’t pick the best line going in but did better on the way out. That crossing ate up a new Frontier and 2nd gen T4R who apparently blindly went “the old way” which is really deep and soft right now. Glad I did the diff breather mod last weekend in preparation!

We had the swimming hole and a massive rope swing pretty much to ourselves all weekend, did some fishing, saw a few great blue herons and a family of river otters, and lots of floating. Solid way to spend a couple days.

Yes! We definitely need to get a trip in. Maybe we should schedule something for November.

That is where the RTT on an overlanding style trailer comes in handy. $$$$$ tho.

Or possibly a tear drop offroad style trailer would be better. I have a RTT now but already find it a bit annoying setting up and taking down to run get supplies, drive to the beach or river for a swim. Maybe adding a overland style trailer would work but at the price most of them are you might aswell opt for a tear drop with a enclosed queen bed.

From a recent camping trip with the family. We got to run into another 3rd Gen Quicksand Tacoma driver and his wife while at the Discovery Center as we were getting info on some trails. We tagged along with them on some easy trails as they went looking for their yellow post campsite.

Mark it on the calendar and commit! I know life isn't that simple, but "one day" never comes. XX/YY/20ZZ does however... Then hit me up so you have a trail buddy!

Going to the arctic circle with a friend next summer because I got tired of saying one day and just started planning.

Never thought of taking BLTs camping but why not? They're great at home. A BLT for camp sounds great! :D
