My wife and I camped at Papoose Flats a couple nights ago. Since we were at 8500', temps were super comfy 80/60ºF, very light wind. And never saw or heard another human.

To the west we had killer views of the Owens Valley 4000'+ below us, and the Sierra Nevadas 6000'+ above us. To the east, Papoose Flats.

Pharaoh Mountain Wilderness. Adirondack high peaks. Crane pond and Putnam pond.
3 friends bailed due to the chance of rain. It sprinkled a few times. Mostly dry. Misty mountains have a certain charm i enjoy.

I generally hold the guys to a rule when we do camping trips with only the boys, that we can’t go to bed on the last night until all the wood is burned. I think your pile would get the best of us!

We spent July 4th weekend at our family campground in central NH. Super wet and rainy, but we wanted to try out the new a-frame pop-up. It leaked a bit and I spent this weekend cleaning, scraping, sanding and re-sealing a bubble window.

Nice, lets hear about that tent. I can read 23 something on the side. Is your truck underneath it?

OMG, you didn't spend 3k to 5k for a tiny RTT?, we ground camp too and we love it. Our GS pup can sleep with us, safe entry and exit...I threw that cash on an RSI Smart Cap Adventure instead :D!

I love our Gazelle T4 tent; but we have seen some cool dispersed sites that would be too small for my setup -RTT only. We’re comfy ground camping, especially on my old man air mattress cot.

Also have a Gazelle, the only thing I dislike about it is the lack of a vestibule to keep shoes dry incase of weather. I only have the T4 though, the bigger ones appear to solve this issue.

Also interested in hearing more about this tent. Roof appears to be flat though, not sure how that would hold up in rain.
