Ocotillo Wells this last weekend. My buddy has a small plot of land out there. Slept in the Softopper on top of the decked system. Got down to the high 30s at night but wasn’t to bad in a sleeping bag and a comforter.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
    Looks great!

Man I get jealous when I see all the folks down south camping year round. Where I am, camping starts when the snow leaves the mountain backroads, which is about start of May.

I get out for about 30 off road trips from May to end of October, but then it's time to hibernate. Four feet deep snow on backroads is for snowmobiles.

Here is the highway today at one of my jumping off points to a bunch of lakes where I fish and camp.

Highway cam pic so it is pretty blurry.

    NoMoeJps,

What stove setup are you running. It looks like my multi fuel stove, but yours is on propane? Is there an adapter?

I always have to keep my propane bottles in the truck during single digits or lower.. Stuff does not like the cold, which is kind of a big deal when its job is to keep you warm

man, that is tempting...when/what time of year did you go? I think it would be a few years before the truck would be ready to go...(just have to parcel out my "fun money" across all my hobbies)

James Bay is pretty far up there. I live in Ohio...farthest north I have been in winter is just north of Sudbury...Biscotasing Lake area

Is that a heater for your RTT?

NVM, I answered my own question.

B22DD675-6C5F-4CCB-B342-2AC708A4C51A.jpg I have not taken my new Tacoma on a camping trip. I’m still using my 2001 4Runner for the camping trips.

My little teardrop weighs about 1200 pounds. The 4Runner pulls it just fine.
