Can’t complain too much given the lack of new snow. It was corn snow skiing all weekend. I think it got close to 50degrees Saturday. Firm/icy in the morning, nice and soft by lunch, not so great by 2-3pm. The calm/warm weather was great for camping in the lot though.

Here's our setup. Rebuilt and Wrapped an Aliner to match. Had to rip out the kitchen and build small bunks to fit the family of 4.

We've taken this on 2x road trips (~3000 miles / 3wks each) bouncing between state and national parks to hike and MTB.

have you done any water crossings with the trailer? how do you think it would hold up if you haven't? you think you'd have any water ingress?

@piotr1aj what is the back awning? I need that to gear up at ski areas.

No water, yet. Clearance from ground to frame is 18”. Not sure I’d want to tempt anything deeper. Note: my build is now $10k more expensive than what I paid a year ago. Could literally sell for a profit. Wow.

Edit: I had an XL185 as a kid. Loved that bike. Did so much shit on it. One of those things was water. We used to ride a sand bottom bog at a gravel pit that was about three feet in deep spots and went on for quite a distance. Interesting fun, so we did it often. That, among other things, compromised that machine significantly.

Will do water. Had the experience, but think I’ll save the Taco from most of that savagery.

this is so close to what i want.. my truck came with a snugtop when purchased and im not sold on the whole roof top tent thing. so basically i would like a ground tent that i can drive the back of my truck up to and use the bed as the bedroom so to speak.

i been looking at those HUGE hot tents with the stove and thought that would be an awesome option if i could just back the truck into it a little.

reason i want this type set up is so i can leave camp and explore an area if i wanted. it sucks to have to tear down camp to use your truck but i still want the ability to use the truck to camp in.

I use the awing room bag and a wool cover to block the huge ass hole under the tailgate. I stuffed them between the tailgate and the bumper to hold it up.

Just curious, have you looked at OzTent? We have gone from our OzTent to a RTT on a trailer and back to the Oz. Similar setup and take down time as a RTT (maybe better).

I'm interested in some easy stock-capable areas out that way.
