Speaking of privacy, does she know that you showed her blue & pink skivvies to the internet? (Mine would kill me if I did that.)

But tons of people see them in the store before you buy them, so... ????

Does anyone have any recommendations/pics, etc. on tents for the bed of your 3rd Gen Tacoma SB? I'm currently using a 2 person ground tent but would like to get a bed tent. I don't need anything big (solo camping) and trying to keep my setup to a minimum. Any comments, opinions are welcome. Thanks TW campers

    Just the basics
Look at Kodiak Canvas truck bed tents. Very good tents.

Looks like a blast awesome views just a suggestion i have the same topper as you ARE MX on a 6ft bed this mattress https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09SGPPCL9?ie=UTF8&th=1 may work out better for you when you dont want to use the ez lift. I have the bam beds setup as well with this mattress, its super comfortable easy to fold up and store and it will give you more headroom over the blow up. Also quick question what did you use to carpet the top of your bam beds had seen it in another post.

Is that the waterproof version and what thickness did you go with? I would love to get an Airbedz to save room in the back while traveling, but these are a little cheaper. My biggest hesitation is the space and if they are really waterproof.

that is the version with the waterproof cover its fairly new I used it 3x this year so can’t give a ton of feedback on that. I got the full size 4” over the 6” it’s plenty comfortable with 2 people and a small dog I wouldn’t get the 6” to me it’s not needed and would rather the extra headroom

Hey - thank you so much! I was actually looking at that mattress right before this trip - great to know you like it! I wasn't sure...I just didn't have enough time (or budget) to order one right before I left. I need something for when I am out solo; when I'm with my husband we have an exped mega mat duo that is fantastic. The air mattress is a bit annoying but I picked it up back in July when my old sleeping mat failed and could not be repaired. I was in the middle of rural Nevada and my only option was a WalMart in Winnemucca, and that was all they had (not even a thermarest!). It's not TOO bad with the shell closed, but gets cold fast and loses air when the temp drops. Since we have such a diurnal temperature swing, it can be a little dramatic even in the summer...so fall/winter/spring it will not work. I get out a lot solo - so I truly appreciate the feedback. I think there is a twin version that would be nice (I like to have all my crap nearby when I'm soloing it).

As far as the carpet squares, I picked up the ones Ben recommends on the bam beds site - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5O4OSV?ie=UTF8 - super happy with ease of install. I put them on back in late June and have had about 22 nights out since then - they've really held up well to all the crap I load in and out, and the heat of southern Nevada when I'm not out. On my recommendation my dad also got the BamBeds for his 3rd Gen, and the carpet squares too. He has been pleased with both.

Your dog is adorable BTW!! Thank you again for the referral to the mattress.

Yeah I have done the blow up mattress just not fun in the middle of the night to run the pump because it lost some air. Definitely been happy so far with the mattress would recommend. That’s for the link to the square I am not sure if you remember how many it took to fill all 3 boards. Also any other pictures appreciate it

    I]

I bought 3 packs of the tiles, 12 tiles each pack. I used about 2.5 boxes - so I have leftovers for repairs/replacements in the future. Used a sharp razor to cut the carpet squares to fit the holes on the boards. Below are some pics with random loadouts over the last few months, and details of where I cut the boards/carpet. I had to cut the boards to accommodate the actuators, and Ben from @BamBeds was again incredibly kind - he even suggested which router and bit to buy. (Never met the guy but would seriously buy him a beverage of his choice if I ever could - just for being so kind and answering all my questions). truck unloaded.jpg cutout.jpg truck with beds.jpg

First time taking it out. I'm new to all of this. I haven't been camping in 10+ years. I know a campground doesn't really count, but IDK where i'm allowed to camp around here. I drive down dirt roads and no matter how far away i get there are houses and houses. thumbnail_20220920_175737.jpg
