“Camped” in the back of my truck to fish Montauk last week. Learned real fast how miserable it is with a short bed.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Growing up we would drive out to shinneccock inlet and fish sunset sleep in the back of the truck, wake up and fish sunrise off the beach.

that was my plan but the lack of actual planning on my part lead to a different outcome lol. Might get the nomad extension for more room.

Can you show how the solar cables are routed? What did you use to mount? VHB?

The front Tilt down slider window on my Leer 100XR has been leaking in the rain. The shop resealed it (but didnt do a water test).

on Leers FB, they posted a picture of their truck headed to Overland expo or something. I saw someone leave a comment saying they had the same problem. I responded saying I did too. Next day I realize leer deleted his comment and my response.

I left a new comment asking why they deleted it and went onto FB today to check for responses only to notice that they blocked me LOL

    Yeah not great experience.

The shop that installed it tried their best. They've resealed the driver side window and that seems ok. I wasnt able to test the front slider but will spray it with some water this weekend.

Cables are anchored with adhesive electrical anchors/zip ties. Anchored the cables under the rail on the inside. There is enough extra to move the power station around to get into the cubby. The anchors are similar to these, may be the same: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commerc...unting-Base-Black-10-Pack-HW-4AB-10/203531942

It looks like you have a 'flexible' solar panel. How is it mounted? How many watts? Do you have a link? Thanks

Yes, it's a flexible panel. I put down a piece of wrap vinyl and the panel is held down to that with 5 strips of VHB tape. It's a 100w panel and very efficient: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BJJYZJ5X?ie=UTF8. It's so efficient, I've had to use some vinyl to cover part of it to keep my DC/DC charger from going into overcharge mode!

It's so convenient this way. With the power station wired to the alternator, I can be charging the station whether driving or parked. I even get a good charge when parked in trees.

Which easy up is that? Looking for a really good one that won't break as easily as the $60 ones from Big 5

I picked up a MoonShade. Setup is a snap. A little pricey but worth it. You can attach it to the truck cab as well.

Looking at some foot-wear for upcoming excursion -
Just when you think it's safe to buy a pair of shoes you discover the bastrds are selling them 'by-the-foot',
literally, by-the-foot. Left or Right that is. What's next, a single sock? ...
