Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Bugs are a big issue in BC but after 50 years of hordes of mosquitoes and horseflies, just another day in the woods.

Bears more of an issue though in the spots I visit in BC.

Grizzly and black bears both. My wife will not tent anymore after a bear circled a few feet outside our tent one trip. It sure made a racket. I yelled a bunch, rifle at hand but good luck with that in the pitch black. It left, and we spent the night in our truck. Found a run down cabin for the next couple nights as she said nope to the tent. No lights or heat or water, but 4 walls, a roof, and more bugs inside the cabin than outside.

Beautiful recent photos on this thread…

I got a text from the neighbor last night at 11:00. Black bear in her garage.

I don't even need to go anywhere. 'just set up tent out back and wait for the bugs and bears to show up! ;-)

    No Softopper, no problem!

actually it was a problem because the tarp flapped around in the wind all night

Long weekend camping at Lake Chelan, WA

Including the new ramp I made for my dog to get in / out of the RTT so I don't have to try to carry him. Worked great - made it last weekend & trained him throughout the week & he got right up & down

Where? Someone mowed the spot for you! ;-)

The wife and I are always looking for nice spots to overnight not too far from home.

Next time , bring string and tent stakes! A "cover all tarp" can be a very useful shelter. I always bring one, and I have a Softopper!

Disperse camped 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend
Camp set up is finally feeling pretty dialed in.
Not in the pics but i finally got to use my Kelty camp galley deluxe and it’s pretty nice to help keep the camp kitchen organized and made me able to eliminate the “kitchen bin”

    Nice!

When my wife and I were doing our x-country State Park campings (Twice now, coast to coast) We had it down to about 15 minutes to set up tent and truck prep, and another 20 minutes until the water was boiling or the skillet sizzling on the Coleman gas stove. Hot water for doing dishes came along while we enjoyed our supper. Isn't it a delight how simple things can satisfy in the right conditions!
