Dang we have considered that very trip. I haven’t been up to Gallagher before. We do stampede every year as a Tacoma/guys trip but have wanted to extend it for a multiple day and spot trip

Did you take the old switchbacks by way of pyramid peak trail head?

No I didn’t go that route I didn’t even notice it before. I’ll need to check it out, is it a good route?

It’s nothing challenging but breaks up the service road route a bit plus some camp spots are good

Short one nighter to shakedown the new hammock setup. I picked up a Tensa4 stand to pair with. Duthchware Chameleon and winter tarp (tarp not needed this time), along with a Hammock Gear 20 degree under quilt.

Got out for the first camping trip with the Tacoma back in July. Went up to the Grand Mesa in Colorado to Island Lake Campground. We were a week or so early for the wild flower peak but still go in some hiking and paddle boarding. Should have taken a photo when I had two paddle boards and an inflatable kayak strapped to the roof rack!

hit a route from detroit, or up to olallie lake. lots of established campgrounds still closed due to 2020's lionshead fire; real shame cause there are some beautiful spots out there. found a great site just off FR4220 next to the lake. some narrower tracks around breitenbush lake gifted me my first pinstripes.

First time camping in the topper. Used the tent for porta potti and getting dressed. My motorhome is more comfortable but tenting is more fun.

I took 6, 12 year old boys camping/fishing above Steamboat this weekend. We caught lots of fish, and got snowed on.
