Lake Cushman, WA. I’m lucky enough to keep getting invited to my friend’s property. Two cool brothers that have a cool slice of Washington overlooking Lake Cushman. Joined by several friends, beers, laughs, campfires, deep fried turkey… I mean… come on… The perfect weekend.

I’m starting to get the hang of this hammock camping thing. Of course things are much easier when you have properly spaced trees, but I like the Tensa4 stand is a fantastic option to make hammocks work anywhere. I gotta say, the sleep you get in a hammock is just better for me. I set up my tarp in porch mode and had a pretty sweet living room set up with a fantastic view.IMG_5586.jpg IMG_5593.jpg IMG_5596.jpg IMG_5603.jpg IMG_5606.png IMG_5610.jpg IMG_5609.jpg IMG_5614.jpg

After your description and pictures, I'm wishin I was your friend's friend also! Looks like a wonderful time.
Brings back memories of driving the WA-BDR in '22 with some TW folks from up that way. Amazing camp spots and a great time.

Yeah man... This corner of the world, this time of year... it doesn't take much beyond that to make for some time really well spent. I still need to do the WA-BDR. Last time I was thinking about it, the whole state caught fire, so... Hanging with good friends and making memories is what it's all about.

Love the Cushman Lake area and it looks like you made it to High Steel Bridge too. I really want to poke around that area a little more, but it’s a tough drive to do from the Seattle area with a toddler.

Making me miss the PNW. I lived in Bend, OR from 00-06 before it became a big town.

:) Just got back from camping at Grassy Mountain in Georgia. Highly recommended, beautiful drive and the weather was perfect. My uncle is still rocking with his gen 1 Taco, hehehe. He feels the gen 3 is too big for mid size truck.

Yep, thats a Super Pacific. Like total weight? With my old rack and tent setup I was over the 7k lb limit on my alignment shops lift. With the SP I'm under now. But I also have a bunch of steel and 35's.
