It's a 2 person Kelty Gunnison tent, not sure of the exact dimensions but it pretty much fit perfectly in the bed with the tailgate down

I second the "made the most out of it". Putting in a platform would greatly improve the shit-uation (or maybe a RTT..).

    Stock for now.
I love the idea of the turtleback trailers but they're so damn expensive. I've thought about building one and designing one myself but I'm sure that would still be expensive. I've seen a few of you guys with the roof top tint in the bed. What setup did you go with? I also like the Habitat but again cost. haha.

You can find good tear drops used if you're patient and search routinely.

I got a 3 year old for a screaming deal. The catch was I am in CA, it was in Indianapolis. It was such a gear deal, that even my expenses to go get it were worth it.

This thread and a few others have been a huge resource to dialing in my camping set up. Got to finally put it to good use in Moab this past weekend.

I've got a similar setup.. Quick question, is your stove level mounted on the pull out drawer?

Yes, I used a drop in mount stove (flame king I found on Amazon). The propane hose runs into the lift up storage drawer to the right for a 1lb propane tank.

Nice! I don't think I can pull that off, since when I pull my drawer out it sags too much and the stove wouldn't be level. IMG_0405.jpg IMG_0498.jpg

Yeah, all my buddies say it is an old man topper. Don't care, I'm more function over form these days. It's amazing that 6" more head space can really make it more "livable". Not that is it super roomy in there, but it helps.

If you did want to go the built in stove route, you could look into building legs to support the drawer when pulled out and keep it level.

Damn, that's a really good idea! That really has my wheels turning... I use a REI Camp Roll table for my stove now, because if I use my tailgate, I will no doubt forget something in the drawer for cooking and need to move my stove to get into the drawer. If I made some sort of top for when the drawer is pulled out it would give me tons of work space. Food cutting/prep space, room for stove, etc. Such a simple suggestion, but this could be a game changer. Thanks, @Cold_Toad!
