Im planning on getting the Voodoo mid rack and brackets for the OEM cover. Only will be using 2 persons RTT for my wife and I. I was more afraid of the brackets bending then anything else lol. I think I should be fine.

That looks like a real good time synergy. Awesome tent too! What did you have cooking there? Was that in Oregon?

I really like the idea of rotopax but it seems like they aren't ideal when you want to carry >10 gal, which seems necessary at times.

To hit 10 gallons with Roto Pax it would be two 4 gallon cans and one 2 gallon can. Or, two 2 gallons and two 3 gallons. They are so handy because of the shape. Seems like you can fit them anywhere.

Yeah, that "am I going to make it" stress sucks!

I don't use Rotopax for fuel anymore. They swelled in the heat/sun, left white residue around the seal after a while and don't stand up nicely when stored. I bring along one or two Jerry cans now... 10.5 gallons. Solid. They'll last for years and years while my 3 year old Rotopax is in bad shape. (I use a white 2 gallon Rotopax for emergency water mounted on the front bed rail. Works perfect for that!)

Thanks! The flag post is low tech, low dollar. Zip tied the flag to my CB antenna. Turns out it didn't work all that well...

All these people camping in these insanely scenic places, you're all assholes. LOL. Where I live, it's flat, loaded with mosquitoes, and has 9,000,000% humidity every day. I hate you all!!!!

J/K, but seriously I gotta get the hell out of Florida for real.

Sounds like a lot of eastern NC as well. Humid every day and if the mosquitoes don't fly away with you, the gnats will.

lived in FL for nearly 20 years, now in CA (not that thats anything to brag about). But the humidity is almost nil compared to FL. And theres mountains too! But theres mosquitos here too and they are just as voracious!

Is this Crater Lake? Headed to OR for a week in August and wanting this to be one of the destinations. If your from the area do you have any recommendations for great camp spots there? Only have 5 days and want to see what OR has to offer.

    Any recommendations are appreciated!

Are you just saying that because you don't want anyone else to move to your state? On that note, Oregon is a terrible place!

    nope not at all..
Nevada just legalized weed, give them their green rush, we're over ours.

You aren't looked that highly upon just being one more of the bajillions that move here cuz the pot.

for the record, CO is awesome. just getting much less awesome cuz of certain things...some of those things being the riff raff thats moving here for the wrong reasons. </rant>

I was just visiting with some relatives from CO and they said the exact same.

Kinda a bummer but with all the states jumping on board maybe itll mellow out some.

Someone told me that sometime last year I believe. I was talking to another member up here about wanting to travel out there for the mountains and trails. He said too many people were moving there for that reason and ruining the trails with litter.
