While cool, I feel like practically, it'd be annoying. Especially in a group setting

Snugtop, $2k-$3.5k color matched and depending on how many options you get. Roof racks add about 500 to base price and windoors added about 400 each side I think (I didn’t get those).

Not to mention the cargo space it takes up inside the bed.

I've also had enough flare ups and burned enough stuff on camp stoves to not want the stove anywhere near my truck.

While used is a really good deal, I do highly recommend the headliner though. 0 condensation.

Snugtop has been really good for me. I love the windoors (at first I didn't like the look but they are so useful). Also, the canopy has a fair amount of overhang on the sides which will create a line to let you know how close the TRD stickers on your bed are to straight.

It was spendy but it's my absolute favorite mod.

I’m a fan of ARE toppers (lower pic). Personally, I don’t like the frameless windows on the leer. I paid $1000 for the used leer, $1900 for the used ARE.

I do love my ARE CX (but I should have gone MX). Love the $450 each windoors, they are worth it. Leer, ARE, Snugtop, are all about the same thing. I'd get the best priced one with the best service available in your area.... or buy used if you can.

Well I appreciate all of your guys feed back on this I definitely have my homework cut out for me it’s good to know there’s other brands out there other then leer because I do not like the frameless look. I think I’m going to wait until my first truck payment comes out before I make another big purchase like this haha

I just ordered a ARE cap. It was the V series.
It was 2795.00. The roof rack was an extra
    400.

Check out this as well. Windoors are generally a desire feature although a but expensive. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/show-me-your-shell.13598/page-421

I like the look, sometimes they get in the way of hauling bigger things. That’s why you need two trucks :D

What is the rack setup on top there. If you get the factory installed slots/rails, can you put yakima, Thule and rhino on them?

Yeah, but that is an added option on top of the already steep price, no?

OP - I just ordered a Leer 100R for a DCSB and I got headliner, roof rack tracks, and a removable front sliding window (free from Leer), and standard sliding side windows, installed with a dome light - $2040
