We've been lucky here so far, the town to the east of us where I work had golfball+ on the north side last Sunday morning. Alot of vehicles beat to hell.
I'm hoping it stays away, our crops look great right now.

Could be a problem there, it needs to slide in on its own, and I know they can be tight. Sensor to reluctor gap is critical

Can you get a better picture?

It's all back together but here is a better picture from the top. I'm pretty sure the clip is engaged fully and we're just seeing a lip on the connector. Being seated flush is another question that hopefully my scanner will pick up.??

The old one took 10 mins to get out. It was so rusted but the multimeter said it was good, I still replaced it.

    That would suck.
I get nervous when I have to remove wheel sensors. They like to do the same thing. Break off and you have to drill them out.

Are you sure you plugged IF1 back in?

Well if we have 5v at E4 Pin 23 but not at Pin 3 (Blue) of the VVT (Cam) sensors and IF1 is plugged in then we have some more broken wires somewhere.

This is weird because the LH cam sensor and OCV wires were chewed. You can see on the bottom left of the picture the RH cam sensor runs to a different harness or direction at least.

Well I mean if we have 5v at one end of the wire but not at the other end there has to be an open in the circuit whether it's a broken wire, something in IF1, or something got mis-wired only you can figure that out. All I can do is give you direction, I'd give that main harness a really good inspection again.

I fixed a GMC truck today with a high idle complaint and it was the main harness had rubbed through on the valve cover, one of the control wires for the idle air control valve was completely rubbed in two. Just a quick glance at the harness and it would appear fine but closer inspection revealed the damage.

Could it be the 2 blues in the picture that I had no idea which pin they went to? I doubt it but gotta double check

Well one is sensor ground and the other is the 5v ref for the Bank 2 (LH) cam sensor.
That doesn't explain not having 5v ref at the Bank 2 sensor though.

Looking at the diagram highlighted in red, RH cam sensor shouldn't have 2 blues which might be my mistake but shouldn't I check pin #28 and pin #29 for 5 volts? They both seem to be middle wires on the plug (pin 2) they said wires im missing voltage at.

Middle wire is sensor ground so it should read 0v.

Below is what you should see with the sensors unplugged.

Those wires aren’t the 5v reference.
5v reference goes from VC through IF1
    and then to the sensors.

My fault, I worded that stupid! LH and RH cam sensors pins 1 and 3 both have 5volts. The middle pins #2 is zero. So those should be fine now

Now we just need to figure out why we appear to not have a crank sensor signal, hopefully it's not a defective sensor that it probably didn't need :anonymous:

So the only thing left is this crank sensor issue. Is there anything that will cause my tach not to move while cranking? If not, ill start pulling my compressor early tomorrow morning. Or I could wait for my scanner to arrive at 1 or 2 pm
