I’m no expert so experts please advise!

While driving today 2 unusual things occurred.
#1 The air conditioner shut off for approximately 2 seconds then came back on immediately.

#2 While driving about 45 mph I pressed the gas pedal, and instead of accelerating smoothly my truck sputtered for about 5 seconds then con turf to perform normally for the rest of the day.

    3.4L with 260,000 mi.
If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it

Sounds like a a poor ground connection or another connection loose perhaps physical damage to the wires.

    Battery terminals clean and tight??

When the engine missed did it trip the engine light if so what code or codes ??

My work has a few 2nd gen Tacomas that have a resistor in the climate control fan switch fail. This means it will intermittently shut off anytime the fan is not set to the high setting. That's when no current is going through the resistor anyway. During a period when the fan WAS working at a lower speed, my colleague left the truck to gather data, not knowing that it stopped running. That resulted in the something electrical catching on fire and totalling the truck. It was quite an event since it happened on a military base.
I'm not certain that the same issue applies to 1st gens.

I don’t think it felt like the clutch slipping..
It seems to lose acceleration power momentarily, then power resumes, then drops out, then comes back and continues for a few seconds.
I noticed it a bit today too while cruising at around 65.

When the engine misses no check engine light comes on.

About 3,000 miles ago my fiancé said the “check engine” light came on for an afternoon then turned back off within a couple hours.

You have a double cab so you have the auto trans right? (no clutch)

If the check engine light came on in the past and the truck is still having intermittent issues, it's likely that the code from the check engine light is still stored in the ECU (even though the light isn't on the dash). If you plug a scanner into the OBDII port under the dash you might be able to read the code still, or have an auto parts store do it.

This wire was a little loose. Tighten her up, hopefully that’ll do-er. I don’t expect so but that would be nice!

I’ll be sure to do that when I go into town to get my daughter at school.
    Thanks for the tip!

I'd tighten that battery clamp/holder down as well, looks like the battery is sliding a bit...don't want it to come off the tray and fall into the fan shroud or something

Could be a fueling issue. Has your filter ever been replaced?

Went to o’reilly to check for error codes.
    Got this printout.
I wanted to see what you, the actual experts, have to say about it before I spend $65 on a new throttle position sensor.

I’m pretty sure it was replaced about 60,000 miles ago.
