1 down and 4 to go.
    Enjoy the ride drivers.
P.O.S rental truck is flashing a red engine stop and sounding the alarm. Gauges all good, runs fine, dunno? Gonna have to get into something else this morning.

Well they hooked a scan tool to the truck, it said low coolant level but the coolant is not low. He cut the zip tie holding the wire to the sensor, said try that, we may have to order a sensor. I asked will it shut the truck down for that? Yup. Roll with it. OK, I'm not paying for the service call or tow.
This is what I deal with everyday. Grrr:mad:

Just enough to look kinda cool.
Yesterday I had to go help burry a septic tank because it kept floating up in the dirt. Almost end of the day and I got an emergency call to bring a water truck up to them. Good fun ended up just taking my dump truck home.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Been hearing for a while now that YRC/Roadway/Holland is in bad (really bad) financial shape. I think our corporate people are thinking YRC are going belly-up soon, maybe as early as next week. Dispatch mentioned this afternoon that we may be doing 10-12 hr days starting next week, that all remaining LTLs will be getting buried trying to cover the slack. Talking to other drivers, they are getting the same kind of feeling from their people.

Not really looking forward to long days again, but making some extra bank before retirement might be a good thing.

    Enjoy the weekend, folks.

as much as I hate working long days that's kinda how I look at things, I hate it all the way to the bank.
If Yellow goes down that also means a flood of drivers is going to be looking for new jobs and they will have to settle for the low wages being offered in today's times. That's not good for the prospect of the current drivers seeking to see increases in earnings. Employers will keep the wages low and just make you work more. That's what my company does, I've had one increase in 2 years and my work week has gotten longer.
