I totally agree. I rode all along the lake and up the st Clair River almost to Port huron before I cut back inland for the ride home. Perfect t shirt riding weather, visor up on the helmet and just diggin it.

major issues over the years. Few guys jumped over to Holland when I was there, was much better then Yellow at the time, then everything merged, and………………

 

I just went by a yellow terminal, it's packed and nothing is moving. Sad to see for the drivers.

For 2 weeks I've had a low steer tire on the rental and a low tire on the trailer, I just air it up twice a week with a max pressure of 90psi, tells you what kind of a shit show I work for. Can't take the truck out of service for a couple hours to fix the tires, just wait for them to blow out and then pay for a roadside repair.

 

Is the rental a Ryder or Penske ? Just take it back to them, they’ll fix it for you. Wouldn’t be messing with a steer tire, your life is worth more than their freight. All else fails, my knife would come out before I left for the day, making sure those sob’s got fixed. I would refuse to drive it until that steer tire is fixed. Or pull into a scale, DOT loves those kind of stories. Sorry ya gotta go through this bs.

 

At the tire shop for the slow leak on the trailer tire, they can't find anything. Fuck it I'll let it go flat and shread on the road then they'll have to fix it by replacing it. The thing that sucks about this is that it's a new tire. I suggested changing the rim as it could be leaking at the weld. Dunno what they're gonna do yet. Been here 1.5 hours so far.

 

I got to the point that I was carrying lag bolts or self tapping screws. Seemed to be the only way I could get them to fix a tire lol

 

Lucky me. We have a contract with a tire company. I call 800 number and it gets fixed. Don't call fleet maintenance, he don't give a shit. Why you calling me? would be his response...
