    I understand completely!

Over the years quite a few emergency repairs were done on the road.

Long before Automatic Slack adjusters adjusting brakes was a given. Camed over brakes were a royal pain.

Service brake pancakes / Brake valves on trailers. Just do not mention lights being repaired . Sealed lights were just starting to hit the after market . Amber turn signals in the rear were illegal in some states.

In the good old days the first spot a tune up was in order Cummins were so very easy a new button and a spring worked wonders. How many even have a clue what that is?

Learning to drive before engine brakes is a skill I was glad to have.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Haven't been around in a couple of weeks and just saw this...life's too short to be pissed-off all of the time. You'll find something.

Well I enjoyed my weekend off. Now it's Monday and back to work, 6 days. I really hate working 6 days. Nothing on the job front that pays anything.

Morning boys, raining here part of that hurricane that hit cali. Going in to move some concrete blocks up to the mountains. Boss thinks we can get the lowboy up there… I’m going to suggest we take the landall that we can shift the trailer axles on.

Well I'm working the loading dock driving a forklift to get my 8 hours in, come on 3:30! If I don't get at least 8 hours a day Saturday will be straight time and that sucks.

I used to drive and deliver for PFG, they used to get me to run on holidays when everyone else was off so they could catch up. I used to have my loads ready at 3am but after the buyouts my runs wouldn’t be ready until 1pm
They were a shut show when I quit

Found an old text when they were offering $400 for coming in on my off day (they offered $600 for sundays)
Catch was, you had to have drive time at the end of the week; near impossible when you have your full runs and you’re picking up a full day from someone else.

*on top of my vacation request shown above

I flew down to Florida for my vacation week, and they called and texted me seeing if I could fly back up as they couldn’t find enough folks to do my runs as they were short staffed. shit show. I told them no, they called more times than my Ex did (she even did) when I was down there with my now wife
