Things have really gone down hill.

I have seen this happen far to often. Employee schedules off following all the procedures some how the office fumbles the ball . No one showed up to cover the dock a expensive piece of equipment had the be rescheduled Now there was no Hurry it was delivered when it worked in our favor.

    Better safe then sorry.

Perhaps the Boss man had been through with the same truck and trailer.

Haha he doesn’t have a CDL but he brought another guy that has driven this truck and trailer. It’s not close till the outside duels are hanging off the the edge.

No it's not just me. There's 4 drivers. 2 are major ass kissers and back stabbers so they don't get as much shit but get some. I love it when they get shit on as I think what did all that ass kissing get you? Lol.
I didn't get a rental truck until 1:00, trailer at 3:00 from another location. I am now doing my first run of the day. The got me in an international with a eaton 18 speed automatic. 53' tandem axle dry van so I can't haul much weight, but what do I care.

It's not bad, it skips gears if your lightly loaded or empty. Pretty herky jerky in the lower gears, smoothes out when you get into the mid range.

Even better when the Shop manager and the owner keep hearing my name 3 years after the fact.

Customers saying these problems would have been diagnosed within 30 minutes this new person 2 hours still clueless.

Trying to get used to this auto trans, it's like a bucking bronco in the low range. Only way it smooths out is if you mash it to the floor. Don't even try to just cruise along, you'll get whiplash. Lol.

They tried selling us on the advantages of autos( salesman) when I was driving plow trucks. In the city stop and go traffic maybe they have a purpose or on paving crews under a grinder sure. Highway or mountain driving summer or winter not a chance. Nobody wanted the auto in the winter when the snow came ( got stuck super easy). Down shifted when you didn't want ( don't need a computer to do my shifting) . As you can tell I hated them. One point they tried to demonstrate was how much quicker they were off the line,I burst out laughing at the seminar, who cares how quick I can get up to 50 kph when most of my driving is between 50 and 110 kph. Another point was that you could hire drivers who were not as good with a manual. If your hiring drivers who can't drive manuals your hiring the wrong drivers was my response. They didn't find me amusing. I thought it was on point. Oh well those are my thoughts on auto big rigs. I do like the auto in my Taco though,it's nice to shift into duh at the end of the day and drive home although I'm retired now. Woodtick keep your head up something better will come along.

Only way to really drive them is flat foot till you reach crusing speed, lot of people say they are nice in traffic but I’d prefer to just idle along with a big gap infront of me as a buffer.

Well the day was getting long and I got sloppy with a winch bar, it slipped and clocked me on my forehead. Got a good little gash… I would show y’all but I’m sure the mods would prefer I not. The embarrassment is worse then the pain… I know better then to be underneath the bar like I was. Anywho 5 small stitch’s and very nice urgen care dr later I’m heading home.
