Frosty here too! Started my day off by taking my trailer in to have all the bumper brackets re welded. I bumped a dock lock lightly with it yesterday and all the welds on the brackets broke loose. It really wasn't any force at all, but a 30 year old trailer in Michigan it's whole life is pretty rusty, lol.
So now I'm in a rental truck and a rental trailer, sheese.

Ugh, boss has me in at 6:30 today because another driver is off for a doctor's appointment. I'm not a morning person, lol. My routine is all messed up. But I'm alive and I'm working so it's gonna be a good day!

Bright sunny sunglasses day here after a frosty start.
This is the time of year that the sun is low in the sky and to the south, particularly annoying in the morning, lol.

I went through all 29 pages of this thread and this right here is the statement that is "across the board", true!

At least for me, it means I will do my Logistics job until I don't enjoy it anymore.

Thanks to you folks who drive the big rigs. You've mentioned some things us regular road occupants don't think about when driving near tractor trailers/wide load vehicles...at least the cutting you off and expecting you to be able to brake right away! (I don't speak for myself on that one but knowing there are those who do that sort of thing, are not very wise)

It's a tough life driving & hauling material/livestock/just about anything LARGE and HEAVY. Thanks for what you do.

    Ed

My rental trailer is falling apart as I'm using it. Door won't stay up and I have to shove a stick in it to hold it up, I about get a hernia thing to lift it. Floor is crumbling under the rear deck plate, all the screws have fallen out of it and there's a dip in the plate.
Then all the wood screws fell out of the e track.

Oh and did I mention that I have to load everything offset to the drivers side or everything ends up against the wall, and that's just from driving down the road and never making a left turn. With the loads I carry if everything shifts it can pull you over. I came into the drive at the yard and looked in my mirror and saw my rear tire come off the ground, that made me pucker! Hopefully I get my regular trailer back on Monday

Frosty start today after it rained and then snowed all day yesterday. The snow didn't stick as the ground was still warm and Temps where above freezing. But the water beaded up and froze on the freshly waxed taco, that tells me to be cautious on the bridges and overpasses. Be safe drivers.20211115_075257.jpg

I just learned an important lesson. Check for passengers before leaving. I assumed they were still asleep. Ooops. One is warming up now and the other was in with the horses and flagged me down in the mirror.
