Truck driver b.s.

Wow, nuff said.

 

Had a driver come pick up a crane yesterday. We helped guide him on the trailer. The little plastic that looks like a cup looked like it would clear. As it got closer to the trailer it was obvious it was going to hit. Yelled at him to stop but he kept going. He hit the cup and it started pouring out coolant!

 

Oh and no permits that we know of. The crane weighs 105k to 121k!

 

I quit a company because they kept making me pull oversized loads with bogus permits and lying to me about it.

 

It's not worth running the possibility of getting in trouble on a regular basis!

 

That sounds like the stupidest policy in trucking especially with a fuel truck. You have to go as far as you can until you can’t fit then take pictures. If I know anything about half the brain dead morons in trucks this day and age I’d go get those companies my wreckers number in a heartbeat. We wouldn’t have time to refuel the dam wrecker.

 

Work tonight, should have my truck back. Taking vacation next week so this week will be a long one.

 

6 days this week so it will be a long one for me as well. But I start tomorrow morning. I'm supposed to start early on Tuesday to drop my trailer off at the tire shop, its getting 8 tires. They are actually doing it before they're bald this time.

 

No truck. Been ready since Wednesday, just nobody to go pick it up. Really short on drivers. Think it is in Portland since that's where I broke down. Probably didn't want to pay for a 2 plus hour tow to one of our local shops.

 

Shit be crazy out there.

Yup, truck still in p-town. Should be back Tuesday night! 2 new trucks coming in this week. Threatening to replace mine. Hope not, new trucks are nice but I like my current chariot.

Dropped off my truck and trailer at the tire shop, trailer is getting 8 new shoes. I'm in a rental truck and trailer, only a tandem axle so light loads today. I'm supposed to drop the rental truck and trailer off when my trailer is done, we'll see.....

Well got my truck and trailer back. 8 tires and some refurbished rims but they missed one that is down to the wear bars. Oh well my dumb ass company can pay for the service call to have it changed. Seems they have more money than brains anyway.

 

Anything to save a penny

 

Still no truck, not surprising. The one I'm in isn't terrible so there's that. At some point the shop is going to get tired of our truck stinking up their yard. I fart in it alot.
