I can like this post not the accident one.

I hope you went to the ER and got checked out.

I learned that lesson the hard way the adrenaline and my sense of mission kept me up right and going till I got home then my body just shut down.

Rather safe then sorry leaves a fine paper trail if needed.

Well it's FRIYAY. I got therapy this morning, then see the doctor. Thumb is bruising now, still realy sore, can't really use it much yet. I'll be working the dock on a forklift again today.
All of this could have been much worse.
Just get through today and then take it easy on the weekend to heal up.

Good morning driver's and our resident hitchhiker Greg with his thumb :D. It's Friday like Greg said so let's make it a safe day today and get home safely.
Got appointment today for servicing the Tacoma this morning early. So me and my copilot are up and moving around a little early today.

Good morning driver's happy weekend. Greg are working? Or were they nice to you since you have to hitch hike everywhere.
Hope y'all have a good safe weekend.

Funny man you are, lol. No I'm off for the weekend, just going to take it easy and decompress. Man it was a rough week.
On a good note, the president of the company made an effort to come see me and talk with me. He was genuinely concerned and said he saw the photos and was so relieved to hear I was ok. I was driving a forklift and just doing my job when he approached me. He said in 50 years with the company he has never seen anything like it. I said I'm an experienced senior driver, never been in a accident, but when you loose your steering there's nothing you can do. He agreed and reassured me that he was glad I was ok.
That meant a lot. I've never spoken with the man before this day

Good he came to see you. Be careful what you say to anyone about your injury, including work people and medical professionals specifically they write down everything. I'm not telling you to not tell them what is going on but only pertaining to that injury only, nothing else about your personal life or what you have done since injury.
    Experience talking from my injury.
Hopefully you heal and get to the end for retirement with out any further issues.
    Coffee time :).

I have made it clear that the company has no business keeping 17 year old trucks on the road for heavy haul like we do because this is what can happen.

Picking up a rental truck and trailer as we speak. Thumb is still pretty sore, was a bad sprain that is going to take time to heal. It's better, maybe 80 percent. No grip strength and it hurts when I squeeze. Everybody gets a thumbs up from me, lol.

Well I'm not gonna lie, first half of the day was a little intimidating, got a little better as the day went on. It's going to take awhile for the nerves to go away I think. Apparently I'm pretty traumatized by the accident. I did the same run yesterday, drove right by the crash site, that was wierd. Well I got back on the horse after getting bucked off, but it's going to take some time for the nerves to calm down, if ever. I'm a senior driver, I take my job seriously and try to conduct myself professionally, but this has definitely knocked me down a step or two. I've never been in an accident like this. It's going to take time.
Be safe drivers. I know we say this to each other all the time. But seriously, be safe out there.

Good morning driver's Greg I could not have said it any better.
If you breakdown you already have a thumb to start looking for a ride. Bet if you showed some leg you'll get picked up pretty quickly buy one of those shims.
In any case good morning and be safe today and have a good day.
