Truck driver b.s.

Same thing here -6 when I woke up and all the gravel pits are closed with snow. Shot the wrecker company a text and I was in a truck an hour later. Only got to 3 calls but hey 200ish bucks I’ll take it.

 

Good morning driver's didn't fair too bad yesterday no snow here just rain. Today 34* this morning and they're saying temp's are going to be dropping soon and freezing.
So if y'all are out be careful out there today.

 

It's 9 degrees here this am, dentist appointment this morning before work.

 

No work today but I don’t have any water at my place. Thinking a main pipe froze, have a heater down in the utility closet and tap open all night. I’ll occasionally get a small sputtering when the water heater kicks on but otherwise nothing. Should be above freezing tomorrow so hopefully it thaws out by then.

 

Had a guy come pick this Freighliner up. Truck had no anti gell in it and its been -10°F+ so it was a completely frozen. Threw in some Diesel 911, plugged in the heater and put it on the charger. Over 3 hours later it finally started!

 

Probably working tonight. Getting out of town will be tricky. Roads don't look too bad once I get about 50 miles north.

 

It's ice, not snow.

 

Done, going home, tomorrow's another day.

 

HUMPDAY! 5 degrees this am. Really slow at work it looks like. I'll be struggling to get 40 this week.

Good morning driver's 6* this morning no snow just cold. Go 3 miles up the road and they got 4 inches or so further you go to the TN state line the deeper it gets. Schools closed in my county virtual learning today.

It's been slow for a long time, getting concerned. No freight in any of the plants. Hardly any wire in the yard that's used for making bolts. I dunno, fingers crossed I don't get layed off. As much as I dislike this place I need a job for 3.7 years yet.

 

Yeah up there it's like throwing darts. How's the hitchhiker thumb?

 

It's a slow heal. I can bend it but it still hurts. No real grip strength with it still. I'm still wearing the brace. I was told to wear it until it doesn't hurt anymore.

 

-2* here in the sunny south lol. We’re supposed to make it up to near 30* though.

 

I have 11 now and going to be 34 later.

 

Interstate closed, been sitting for hours. Looks like I'm getting a room.

 

Bummer. My days not going so swell either.

 

Can't like this. Creek is starting to freeze up. Just came back in from running the dog and jumping across the branch. 22* now.
