Truck driver b.s.

I don't get breaks, I don't get a lunch break either. I just eat when I can, usually while I'm being loaded or unloaded. The way drivers are treated is pathetic.
3 years 7 months and I'm done with this shit.
Sad part is I like what I do.

 

Well they changed the rules on us and sitting in a dock/ getting loaded or unloading can count as a break because someone thought it to be a good idea.
Now that I have said that when I was otr I did count that time as a break so I could get the most miles possible. Kinda like driving as hrs divided by time to manage getting as many miles as possible. Before eld's.

 

Hoping that this shit goes away this week

 

Monday morning, 20 degrees so it's not arctic. Snow and freezing rain tonight and then a warm up with just rain. Should melt all the snow this week.
6 days for me this week.

12* this morning heat wave. Supposed to be in the 40's today and moving to the 60's by the end of the week and rain starting on Wednesday.

 

At the clinic again, I got randomed for a breathalyzer test.

 

On a jobsite in a neighbourhood and an Amazon van blowing down the road clipped the front bumper of my coworker pulling forward. No major damage just bent the bumper and put a slice in the steer tire. Van got the door trim removed and bent steps. Not sure where dipshit was going because about 50’ ahead of him I was blocking the entire road.

 

Got called off last night due to freezing rain again. Should be good to go tonight. Don't like my schedule being messed up.

35 degrees here, really foggy, rain. The air is warmer than the ground. After the deep freeze we where in and now the mid winter thaw the roads are coming apart. Pothole city!

 

Well sent home early again today. I don't even have 21 hours for 3 days. I'm pissed, I at least need to make my 40. If this continues they'll have to lay the low guy off so the rest of us can get our hours. This is just wrong.

Not liking this truck much. We have worse around the yard so I try not to bitch too much.

 

Well I don't even have a truck, lol. I'm in a rental and will be until at least April when the new trucks come in. Then I'll get a p.o.s. cat truck. I try to be positive but it's difficult when your struggling to get hours and earn a living. I went from too many hours to not enough. But 40 degrees today and hopefully no rain.
