That’s awesome, exactly how we are going to get a new generation of truck drivers (I’m in said generation) lot of old heads will just say “should’ve learned that in trucking school” but then when someone messed up “oh must have been taught in trucking school, new drivers don’t know their head from there a$$” I applaud you for you for going out and helping teach the right way

Saturday morning, having coffee and trying to wake up. I hope it's a short day today. I gotta use another driver's truck and trailer so they can fix the inside lights on my trailer. It's the truck I'll be inheriting when the new trucks and trailers come in. It's piece of shit cat truck that's broke down more than it's on the road. But it's newer than the truck that tried to kill me recently. At least the cat has a headache rack and an Allison auto. I've driven it before, it's slow to get going but that's ok in the city. That Allison is smooth.

38 ang heading to 60ish and rain.

 

At least the cat I'm driving today is newer. It actually rides nice. This will be my truck once the new ones come in. Much safer than my old truck.

 

4.75 hours today and I'm done. Yay!.
This is the rig I'll be inheriting when the other drivers get their new trucks and trailers

I'm liking the protection of a headache rack. Only thing I don't like about it is when blindsiding into a dock I can't turn my head and look out the window, it obscures your vision.

Plated at 130k and just got new steers.

A big safer truck. Not crazy about Cat trucks due to the electrical problems they have. But it rides nice, turns tight, and has a good seat. Only 150,000 miles on this one. Mirrors kind suck. I wish it had spot mirrors on the hood.

 

Well Monday went smooth, I'm milking the clock at the moment to get my 8 hours in.
5 days this week, 4 to go!

Morning drivers. I just wanna get this week done. I swear I'm getting cranking by the day! People just take the joy out of trying to enjoy my job. Boss is starting her shit again and I have no tolerance for it. I'm just biting my tongue because profit sharing checks come out in a month and I might get something. So for now I just try and get through it, stay alive, stay safe, and try to enjoy the ride. I do love driving and being a trucker, just tired of people and the industry.

Well milking the clock for my last hour of the day to make sure I get my 8.

 

We're you raised on a dairy farm? And how much do you charge for a pound of butter with all the milking you've been doing lately.

I'm just tired of being sent home and not earning a living. At least need to get my 40 or 8 hours a day. If they can't get me that then they need to stop giving the work to outside contractors and take care of our own people first.

 

This is the way.
