Got my drug test appointment time for next Monday. And start working on Tuesday.
1st time working in 2 years so I figure I'll be nice and tired and sore for the first month.
The benefits are great and hrs are too.
M-F 8-4:30

Well, its been a lengthy process. But, i got the job with my local county. Im really looking forward to it. I have been running the roads around here for 30 years and the idea of not being bounced around in a truck all day(or night) is very appealing to me. The other thing that i have been repeatedly told is that there are many other options(jobs) within the county once youve been there for 6 months. So who knows what all i may end up doing. Another perk is the the facility i have been assigned to work from is only a 5 minute drive from my house. I have got some things to do yet with them before i can start. But shouldn’t be more than a couple of weeks out im guessing.

Just got my truck back from the shop last week, lots of work was done to it,, was running pretty good. They pulled the head and recut the injector seats, new air dryer and air lines, fixed the ac, new coolant tank, etc. So Friday it started loosing air pressure, limped back to the yard with it. Swapped trucks out for the last hot run of the day. So I'm in the p.o.s. cat that was in the shop for 2 months because the low voltage alarm keeps going off, guess what ? It's still doing it, I hope they get my truck repaired quickly, I can't drive this truck like this, drives me nutz!

 

Well it's Monday. Let's see what today brings as far as trucks go. My truck is down with an air leak. Backup cat truck still has a problem with the low voltage alarm going off all day long, drives me nutz!
Rental truck was returned so I don't know if they can get it back. Problem is we haul heavy so a normal 80gvw truck won't work.

 

Good morning driver's today is the day I test drugs for new job. They have sent me 2 different addresses to report to at the same time. Gonna call at 8 to see which one is correct.

I go this Wednesday for my CDS screening. Unless they are testing for coffee, i am good to go. Good luck to ya Greg…….been there and done that with the POS truck situation.

Well they think they found the air leak on my truck, turbo waste gate valve blown. Apparently it's air operated. So they had it towed in for repair. Driving the backup automatic cat truck, alarm. Is only occasionally going off today, lol. I hope it doesn't take to long to get my old truck fixed.
