You just wait, it'll be windy cold and snowy before too long.

 

I don't mind 20s and 30s, it's teens, single digits a day below I don't like. Sad part about winter is no motorcycle rides. But I do work in my woodshop in the basement a lot in the winter so that's a plus.

Also, screw public storage units in a semi truck

Good morning driver's, another day in the dungeon today I get to drive a forklift maybe.
So far it's been a good job, won't know for at least 30-90 days. As we all know it's all roses for the first little bit.

Apparently my previous employer's sales man is bringing us lunch on Friday from the Greek restaurant. This should be good.

 

Really slow at work. One guy worked a half day yesterday, ones taking Friday off. I've had 2 days a little over 7 hours. I'm enjoying having a life again and no weekends, but it's still a little concerning. It's just the economy. For now I'm still getting my 40, I hope that last and they don't take us down to 32.

 

I've been told we're slow. We got that 1 guy who's working hard on not working. Supervisor at 1 point yesterday said did so and so come out to help you guys? The other one said no. So the writing is on the wall.

 

I forgot getting stress test today for my medical card.

 

Stress test passed. Did 102% needed to achieve goal, but it took a while to get my heart rate up to 139 BPM. All looked good as far as I know.

 

The longer the better. Congrats

Good morning driver's like @woodtickgreg said it's Friyay .I got my 1st pay check in 2 years yesterday not much for 3 days bat it's a check. And today is my 1st full week too.

Haven’t had much to update on….we all know how government(local in this case) works. I have orientation with the county next week. Sure could get use this “retired” life i have been living for the last two months. Y’all be safe out there now….enjoy the weekend.

Got a call from cardiologist missed it 3 times . Finally talked to them and Dr said nothing has changed in the last 3 stress test so he sees no reason why I couldn't keep up with my CDL duties.
They will send me the letter for medical card if I pursue it.

Good for you! Hope it's everything and more and it's easier than you expect.

 

Yeah get that medical card, even if you don't use it right away. It's good to have options.

Ok driver's finally getting around to filling you in about that lunch the sales man from my previous employer brought in. It didn't go to good, the guy embarrassed himself and me and made my new employer uncomfortable by putting me down and asking them Don't you do background checks your really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
My response was how's the family and thank you for the lunch.
I can only imagine what an unknown manager thought when he asked that question.
Guess he thought he was being funny, but it made him look bad in my opinion.
One of my co-workers who talked him up to me the day before looked uncomfortable with his attitude and remarks.
Like I said I took the high road and kept thanking him.

I give people all the rope they want to hang themselves. It's a shame people have to be so petty.
