Truck driver b.s.

Truck said 34 degrees this morning. But we had the first frost of the year. And an incredibly bright full moon for the ride in to work.

41 degrees this am heading to 66 today.
Truck broke down yesterday, fuel issues still. Filter plugged after 3 days. Check engine light stays on and running really rough. It's supposed to go in for service today. I don't know what I'll be driving. Rental?

30* this morning and heading to 67 in town. Ready for the weekend!

@Tiedie thats some amazing footage. There was/is a poly pipe manufacturing company in Erwin that was flooded as well. Some people were actually able to survive the flood by holding on to the floating pipe.

Just a warning to anyone trying to get to TN from Asheville follow the detours. There's a bunch of driver's trying to go through the mountains and are getting stuck, rolling over and getting tickets because they are on restricted roads. They are not saving time or miles. We've had 3 in the last week get towed off the mountain by my house. It's not a pretty road for trucks.

 

I know where that plant is and it was terrible what happened there. They sent us home Thursday morning before the flood and told us don't come in on Friday. Then we stayed home for 2 weeks.
We keep finding cars,beer, wine, picnic tables, it's crazy what we are finding.

And add to that a fine of up to $5000 for trying to go through the national park on Newfound Gap Road.

I never leave the campus although I do have to use a couple of public streets to get from one end to the other. Basically I just drive around a 200 acre block lol

Unloaded the Southeastern guy that pulled the short straw yesterday, he was in the little Isuzu box truck.
He got lucky because he had PPE stuff and we are definitely taking that. Anything else I gotta make a phone call and you might be taking it back.

Been on campus most of this week. Not enough work for 3 drivers, and one driver is dispatching to cover for our boss on vacation. Trickle down of the economy is effecting us.
