27 here, windy and cold, might have snow showers later. This wind just bites right thru ya. Carrying an extra jacket in the truck just in case........

 

Let's see XPO and Southeastern both showed up today. And had to direct to a dock to get unloaded. That's my extent of driving lately.
Tomorrow is a new cold day .

Time to mow the lawn one last time as well as remove all the leaves. Need to get this done before the rain gets here later. Gonna be a fun day. I’m one of those weird guys that actually enjoys yard work. You all have a good day.

 

Got the yard work done. Grilled some chicken and shrimp for dinner. Had a really good pear salad and brown rice along with a little bourbon. Good day! Now time to watch the Chiefs play. Been a fan since’69 when I was seven and they won the superbowl. Had one of those vibrating football fields with the Chiefs and Vikings the next year for Christmas. Anybody remember those?

Yeah to old for the 12 hr days.
I got a young manager and he told me the other day he works 12 hr days. I told him your young you have a lot of 12-14 hr days ahead of you.

 

Got a notice from the the Department of Homeland Security that my hazmat threat assessment will be expiring soon. So! !!!! No longer needed so for the first time since cdl’s became a thing I won’t have a hazmat endorsement.

Any of you old guys remember what our license were called before they became CDL’s ? Seems like here they were called chauffeur licenses. I know that I was grandfathered in when they changed to CDL. Seems kinda odd because I was so young then lol.

 

Yes it was,
funny story: we were working remote when the switch came, we sent all the paperwork down to the boss to fill out, he signed his name only & sent them back (was only licensed as class B) boss says he don't have time just fill them out & send copy's of our new license.

I looked at my partner & went class A, class B, class C, class D.
My partner said "you can't do that" I said boss told us to fill in the blanks.

Studied on all classes & passed.
Free class A!
