Truck driver b.s.

Good morning driver's raining here this morning but short lived, outta here by 09:00. Things are not good here in WNC were dry and have wildfires popping up everywhere. Since there's a lot of timber down from the hurricane things aren't good.

Monday, uhg. One driver on vacation so I have to start early all week.
19 weeks to go...........

Got another truck from Canada coming in this week. So we get to unload that and work it up.

Good morning driver's, unloaded 1 trailer from Canada and 1 from OK.
Both from sister plants. Oh course bolt seal saga continues, as we still don't have bolt cutters. I have a small bolt cutter from my not so memorable days OTR. So that's in the Tacoma this morning, as we're supposed to be getting more from Canada with bolt seals.
Supposedly coworker got the ax yesterday morning before shift started. I'll find out more about it today since people gossip.

Might get my old pos back today. It rides better, turns tighter, and I don't have to prime the fuel system every morning to get it started.

Unloaded another truck from Canada yesterday afternoon. I would bet we get another one in the next day or two.

 

Fixed literally two weeks ago. Probably about 10x in the 23 years, as of the 17th, I've been here.

 

Well had my truck back from the shop 1 day, had it washed yesterday too. Today I blew an airbag again, lol. It's the same one that always blows. Happend as I was backing into the dock at our recieving dock. Blew the base right out from under the truck. Repair company came out and put a new one on.

 

It's FRIYAY!!!

 

Good morning driver's welp need I say more since @woodtickgreg covered it.
Yesterday 1st. Truck from Canada oof, PTSD kicked in coil pipe laced in like tires. Again I had an idea to just stack and move with clamp truck. Nope we're going to stack in crates that we previously emptied. That lasted the first 3 rows, I had a guy stand next to trailer and stack to move with clamp. Supervisor says ok let's back em into the dock and stack for the clamp truck. Took us an hour to wait for it, roll off like tires and stack and you guessed it move with clamp truck. second truck was a piece of cake 52 pallets unloaded in 20 minutes.
3rd truck another piece of cake another 20 minutes.
At lunch we had a guy retire so free BBQ lunch . All in all not a bad day.

Good morning driver's hope everyone is doing well and has a great day and be careful today.
Had 3 trucks to unload yesterday and 1 had the coils like tires again. Unloaded him loaded another one then XPO. Then I got to go outside and load another with empty crates from last week. Not too bad of a day. Still trying to get trained in my job since I started 2 weeks before the hurricane and had no training.

 

We now have 5 drivers and work is slow. I have never seen 5 drivers here in the 4 years that I've been here. Makes for 8 hour days which I like!

 

Saw this little beastie the other day.

 

That thing looks overweight just sitting there,lol.

 

There are a lot of really big wreckers like that here in Michigan. Some trucks here haul a lot of weight, axles from one end of the trailer to the other. I haul 70k with a 4 axle, our other trucks are 6 axle and haul 90k.
