Truck driver b.s.

Someone called in on me while I was delivering one of out titty bar accounts. 10 am, not even open, just the bartender doing pre opening shit. Everyone had a good laugh.

 

Week half done yay!

 

Humpday but no joy for me, gotta do two 6 day weeks in a row. Working one Saturday for one of the other drivers.

 

I-5 Accident closure. Been sitting for an hour now. Not sure what's up, suspect a truck involved as a hazmat truck went by.

 

Can't like that.

 

Started out my day with the governor on my air compressor going out, 150 psi and the relief valve continuously popping. Then I go to deliver my 67k load and I'm at a place that is really tight. Boss text me and says leave there and go pick up one skid someplace else. I said really? You want me to pull a tight 180 degree u turn that puts the trailer and tractor at a 90 with a fully loaded spread axle? OK, I don't pay for the tires if they blow!
Total shit day, one right after another.

 

Hazmat left, wreckers rolling in, movement soon?

 

Multi vehicle, one fatality. Think I'll be here awhile. That's OK, others are having a worse day than me.

 

Wow, that still sucks, been there and done that.

 

Done. Something like 30 vehicles involved. I'll be starting late tomorrow.

 

Good morning y’all, got to go up in the mountains the other day. Love working up there gotta park the trailer down on the highway then dump. Then go grab the box down at the trailer and go back up. About 7 miles round trip just for trailer Also can’t be afraid of the drop offs.

 

Done for the week. 17 hrs yesterday, 14 today. I'm tired.

 

Those are long days brother.

Dot med card expired, at the clinic off the clock to get it renewed.

 

I wish, that's the kind of work days I would love.

 

I loved when I switched, you’ll find the right company.

 

Absolute crap day at work. Got to work, punched in, did pre trip. Told the acting supervisor that I got a letter from the secretary of state, they said my dot med card was expired and that I need to send the current long form in. So he gets ahold of our boss who supposedly is on vacation. She text me and says to punch out and go take the physical, punch out? Isn't this a part of the job? So I loose 3 hours of pay. Then I get rolling, make my first pick up of a hot job. As I'm backing into the dock to deliver it my alarm for air pressure goes off and it won't build pressure, pop off valve is going crazy. So I drop the trailer, go and get a rental truck and work the rest of my day. 11 hours but only paid for 7.75
And I have to be back in at 6am
This job sucks more everyday.
