I live in Bakersfield CA . Kern County area

    Truck has been recovered

My 08 tacoma got stolen and all my bumpers lights and wheels off of it too. The bumpers are custom made bumpers . So i would recognize those things anywhere. I would please advise to keep and eye out for me. On any sale or trade websites. I only say this because these bumpers would only fit 1 vehicle only. Which would be a 2gen Tacoma

Any info would help . Contact me 661 699 5519
    keep an eye out

God dammit that sucks, recovered same day? Is that last pic where it was found? That looks like a trap house. Looks like they only stripped the aftermarket goodies off of it like amateurs, pros would have taken all the OEM stuff to sell to body shops. Hopefully your insurance policy covers aftermarket bolt-ons :fingerscrossed:

When your truck was recovered did you have any mechanical or interior damage? I have a story about a 2008 Jetta that was stolen from me...

It was 2010(?) I had just gotten home on Sunday morning from a bachelor party the night before... park my truck and I walk into my house to find it odd that there was some stuff on my bedroom floor and my closet door open. Looking around I found a few other strange things and stuff missing throughout the house. At this point I am taking mental accounts of everything that is missing or out of place as I run from room to room realizing I am now the victim of a robbery. I happen to peer out the window towards my second driveway only to realize that my car too is missing! So I call 911 to report it, then call my boss (because I had my work tools in the trunk, ~$3,500 of instruments and specialty tools for automation). My boss said "Oh so that's what happened! I saw your car in the middle of the highway getting loaded onto a flat bed at 8AM." This is now 10:30/11:00AM. When the police show up to take the report and do some fingerprinting etc. I get a call from yet another police officer investigating my car being abandoned in the middle of the highway and we discuss the situation in which they would find my car abandoned in the middle of the highway and my recently reported robbery/ car theft... FAST-FORWARD four days I finally get a letter from the towing company claiming tow charges and fees for storage. I go and dispute the legitimacy of the fines given the theft and they drop the charges or the insurance paid (I don't recall). I get into my car and realize the windows have been open during 3+" of rain and the brakes and clutch are now blown. The car was towed to the dealership and repaired under my insurance.
    • The thieves were never found
    • The clutch and brakes were blown in less than 80 miles (they didn't run out of gas and I only had a 1/4 tank left)<-- kind of an impressive mechanical feat
    • Oddest thing stolen from the house was a package of new socks
    • The ~$3,500 in tools were still in the trunk of the car

Man. Thieves suck. Hope you get squared away quickly! I had a 2005 Jetta stolen in 2010 about 2 months after it was paid off. I would have much rather had the car free and clear than the insurance settlement.

This car was stolen at around 430-5pm out of my driveway...

Sorry to hear this. My truck was stolen back in September of 16. Was an 07 sr5, highway Patrol called me 2 weeks ago to tell me they found it, in Bakersfield. Truck was almost the same as it was in the night it was stolen. They changed the step rails from chrome to black, put a TRD sticker on the bed and put the chrome badges back on and the mud flaps. My insurance settled with my, gave me high blue book for the thing. I now own a 17 sr5
