    They already have your stock rear axle dropped out of the truck? So it would pretty difficult to get your truck back from them at this point in time?

    Little update. The finally found the problem with the backup lights. The butt connector I used when I installed my aftermarket receiver must've broken when they took the dash apart. Not entirely their fault since butt connectors are trash, but the fact they didn't see it when putting the dash back together is worrisome.
    The differential they are going to use is from a truck that has less miles than mine and is in very nice condition, so hopefully it will last.
    Now I just have to wait until they put the truck back together and then all that's left is fighting with insurance.

    And it’s back!
    Everything is working fine as far as I can tell.
    I got lifetime warranty on the repairs, so we’ll see if anything happens in the next few months
