Haha you are correct, except take a look at how much improvement you actually get. If you keep a tire 100 years then it would be measurable. Otherwise... just hype over nothing.

You do know that aluminium oxidizes, don't you. Basic chemistry. Also tires oxidize from inside.

The ONLY reason nitrogen is used is to keep a better constant PSI year round so when it gets cold out the dealership doesn't have 300 old ladies showing up with "flat" tires because the TPMS light on the dash is lit up

Used to be aircraft mechanic, noticable difference in tire life N2 vs Compressed air. Period, no question.

    All the things!
Did you know that aluminum is VERY reactive and oxidizes almost immediately. What you see is aluminum oxide.

Regardless, have you ever seen an aluminum wheel fail from oxidation? How about a tire? If you could possibly answer "yes" to those questions... do you think being filled with nitrogen would have made a difference?

It's fine that you like your little green caps, but I doubt you'll sell anyone here on it being anything special.

I agree with facts. Opinions are sometimes based on fact but also sometimes based on denial of facts. So what will it be then. For me, I will go with the facts. Same as how I vote. Oops sorry don't mean to go political... But I prefer to base decisions on being educated and informed, too many are based solely on opinion and feeling.

If you can minimize loss to little old ladies you can retain the profits.

Stealerships never lose money. The blue haired old ladies with either get charged up the ass for fancy air or they will sell them brand new tires cuz theirs were "not fixable"
