I run Nitrogen in my trailer tires and I’ve noticed it’s rare that I need to add air to them now. My GF’s Porsche and my street motorcycle’s are going to be getting Nitrogen in their tires soon for the same reason. In my case since I’m going to be running it in several vehicles (my tow rig may get it too since it sits for sometimes a couple of weeks at a time) I’m going to lease a filled Nitrogen tank from a local welding shop which is way cheaper then what your favorite tire store will charge you per tire or per car. Plus I can always use the Nitrogen from my tank in my MIG Welder if I want.

No. Don't use nitrogen on any welds.

I did some research on this and you are right about that for airplane tires. They do see great difference in temperature due to altitude. Nitrogen is more stable at wide temperatures.
The facts I Found were that nitrogen fill is not of much benift to the average person driving a car, truck or SUV on the roads to justify the cost. Airplanes and race cars sure. I guess if they are going to give it free take it. But i would never pay for it. My local toyota dealership that i wouldn't buy anything from after trying to deal with them wanna add $199 the sticker for that plus more for a handful of things you can do with out or do yourself for far less. It's often a way to add profit to a car sale.

Isn't the shelf life of tubeless tires like 8 or 10 years and after that they are not safe? ... Have blow outs like my old camper did years ago in podunk Virginia.

This is why it losses psi slower

Is nitrogen molecule bigger than oxygen?
Nitrogen molecules (N2) are larger than oxygen molecules (O2) so therefore, pure nitrogen will permeate the walls of your tires less than oxygen molecules. ... Well, a nitrogen molecule measures roughly 300 picometers while an oxygen moleculemeasures 292 picometers. That's only a 2.6% difference in size.

    AND THIS

How much does air pressure change with temperature?
For every increase of 10 degrees in temperature, your air pressure will increase by approximately 1 psi. Conversely, for every drop of 10 degrees in temperature, your air pressure will decrease by approximately 1 psi.

By the way, i use the stuff i breath because were i live it will be almost 100 in summer and -20 in winter, so it is always changing every few months because it is over 10 psi change from summer to winter..

UPDATE: Good News!!! Toyota has agreed to repair the leak and all water damage at no cost! 10k miles out of warranty (45k miles on odometer)
Bad News... They will have my truck for two weeks. They will remove all of the interior, replacing carpet, headliner, rear seats, sound mat, and other stuff.
