    Hello,

First post. For the past 11 years I have owned a completely stock 2nd gen 2011 SR5 4x4 which I want to now trick out for more off-road capability. Several times on camping expeditions I have taken the truck up crazy dirt roads littered with big boulders, sharp rocks, or deep sand, and so far have never gotten stuck or broke down. Part of that is probably my mad driving skills :curls:, but most has been luck. I'm coming here to research the following:
    1. Potential lift for additional clearance
    2. Better off-road wheels and tires
    3. More functional skid plate
    4. Looking for a camper tent pop up unit to sit on the back of my doublecab that extends over the cab
    5. Anything else recommended

The ski is the limit, but within reason. At some point there is probably diminishing returns...?

A lift provides little to no additional clearance. That’s primarily a function of tire diameter. Naturally a lift provides for bigger diameter.
