I have an 09 toyota tacoma base model 4cyl. It has run mu coolant from topped to empty in less than 2 weeks light driving back and forth to work. It makes a weird rattle when I left off gas. And it has also taken a bit of oil since my oil change recently. It has a good amount of oil, but the red light appeared even though there is oil.
Also, it has a lag from a stopped position to when I press gas for it to pick up.
Let me know what you guys think, I'm buying a head gasket tester. To see if that's the issue but I don't believe so if it's drinking coolant so quick.

Quick and easy test is. If the radiator is full. Take the cap off. Start the truck and watch for bubbles. If you see bubbles you have a head gasket issue.

Pressure test the cooling system. See if there is a failure somewhere

I would be more concerned about the red oil pressure light as well as the loss of coolant.

Loss of coolant, loss of oil, oil pressure light coming on and rattling in the engine = serious engine problems to me.

I wouldn't drive it until I find out more information.
