Would be nice if there was a Option to shut a vehicle off after a certain time in the settings.

I don't get what's difficult about push button vs key in ignition. You still have to turn the car off and on manually in both types?

Do people forget to start the Truck because they have a pushbutton? Or is it just to turn it off.

Apparently, both. I've seen a few threads regarding "smart" keys, push button starts and the smart key door handles. It's like they've completely forgotten how to operate a vehicle because they don't have a physical key in the ignition anymore.

I thought push button cars/trucks had operational distance limitations when the FOB is removed from the cab... Maybe it's only when you're actually driving? i.e. someone hops in to take your truck for a joy ride while you get yelled at by your wife, picking up a puppy, or drooling over some Brazilian supermodel walking down the street, they make it 200' before the vehicle shuts off/stops driving.

You forgot "hot girl" as a reason but it's understandable you'd not think of it. You have a moped.

So glad I have a keyed ignition. Can't leave the Tacoma running if I want to get into my house.

It's just as easy to forget to turn it off with a key as it is with a push button.

Negative, that would present a safety concern to the person driving as well as other vehicles immediately around it. It should beep though, otherwise drive normal until it gets shut off and immobilized if the key is now out of range.

Right? It's a push button start. You still have a key and fob to take with you...

He is correct. It will beep at you for a few seconds if you get out with teh key and it is still running. Anybody could get in it and drive it until it runs out of gas or is shut off.

I never touch my key, it stays in my pocket because almost all of the time I dont actually need to use it. I still cant walk away from my truck if its beeping at me. I've never left it on without it being intentional. I also got a remote start so it will stay locked if I need to warm it up or cool it off and wont be right next to it.
