Truck locking and unlocking while hand washing?

It does it every time I hand was my truck(with the fob in my pocket). When I get to the drivers door, it will lock and unlock on its own. Is the water making enough contact on the hands free gizmos???? Anybody else have this issue?

 

I have found it very easy to bump my buttons and lock/unlock while working in the truck, or in the yard doing work.

 

I have a peasant SR5, but the fiancés CRV does this. The water spray is enough to cause the car to lock/unlock when you spray around the handle. Always makes me chuckle. I say normal.

 

Holding the lock button on the smart key fob and pressing unlock twice disables the communication signal. Pressing the lock or unlock button will re-enable the signal. Good for washing your car near the handle and saving battery life.

Happens to me. Just leave the FOB in the house until you're done.

 

Yes, my truck does it too. I just thought it was trying to be cute like the dog getting a bath...

 

Yeah I just put the key FOB on a bench in the garage while washing - far enough away so the signal doesn't allow unlocking.

 

Yea, I'm nowhere near the handle when it happens.

 

Ok, just making sure my truck is not possessed.
