check cranking volts, shouldnt drop below 9.5 while trying to crank the starter.,yes-bad battery,no-starter or nuetral safety switch ( this would definitly do that). good luck
Also maybe some type of safty shut off from accident ?

I'm not too familiar with how manual trans are these days but I had a ranger that would not start unless the clutch was depressed. Maybe check the wiring for this dedicated switch? Or the control side voltage of the start solenoid??

^ like he said, check to make sure the switch is still functioning behind the clutch. if thats not working, all the symptoms fit (not saying that is 100% it of course)

If the battery is healthy and fully charged, we you try to start the engine can you hear the starter solenoid clicking? If so, the most probable cause are bad solenoid contacts. They cost about $10 and take about an hour to replace.

    step one.

if that doesn't work get your multimeter and friend out. check voltage at starter with key cranked, if nothing, check it at the relay. should have low current side coming from ignition to close circuit and allow the high current to flow from the battery to starter. if you dont have anything coming from the smaller wires, it could be a problem with your ignition, or any component between it and the relay. maybe someone has a diagram with all the components relevent to starting
