As long as martie's knockers aren't caught in mjp2's banana (hammocks?)...everything is good.

**I don't know what the hell I just said**

I'll even offer to do a *feature spread* and the legwork of collecting the information for a monthly person/truck. I like doing that kinda stuff.

    Lots.
I'm not entirely a fan of that. I mean that leaves out a lot of people that I feel have great builds such as longbow, pandajerk, silver07taco, redz. The top 25 posters have great trucks too but I think that narrows it down too much. I do like the idea of featuring the truck and the person however.

The top 25 was just a number I picked.....it could be any 'number' you wanted in terms of post count.

How about a separate TOTM for the newbies? Say for instance - of all the new folks who registered that month, pick the ONE person who has the most posts in that month. Do a feature on them and their truck?
And again - I could do the legwork & posting on that. I'd just need a Moderator to tell me who the 'newbie' is that I need to feature. I can do the rest.

    My thoughts

TOTM should be based on one nomination per member (vote for your favorite) with a set criteria for each month.

    Example...
January - first gen double cab prerunner
February - Second gen Access cab 4x4s
    March - XRunners
April - All Double Cabs with at least 3 inches of lift

Also I think Picture of the month is a good idea...each person submits a picture, again based on a selected criteria for the month, so that not everyone is submitting a picture.

    Example

    Action Mud shots
    Action Snow shots
    Sunset shots
1 wheel in the air shots
    Jumping shots

    Just to name a few...

    Lets do this!!!

    Kinda with Packerfan.

I think if we made it simple enough that you can't win more than once a year that would be good enough and simple categories such as:

    1 gen. access
    1 gen double
    2 gen access
    2 gen double
    Street Truck
    Long-Travel Truck
    etc.

In my view... XR don't have a big enough presence on TW to advocate for a TOM spot. They are all on XRU. TW members are members over there such as myself and they are never given TOM spots.

Yeah I vote for a resurrection of this as well.

I like the Pic or Member of the month ideas...
as far as the logistics of everything else I don't know.

We need to do something though! I say we start off like TN does it for awhile, then add or remove rules over time.

And I'm totally serious about taking on the duties of presenting the *Newbie* of the month....The top 10 (or whatever) new registered members - taking the top poster and doing a feature on them/truck. Just let me know who that member is - and I'll get the leg work done. This can be separate of the usual TOTM. October is almost over...so we can pick one that I can present next month. I've done this type of thing (and newsletters) for other clubs in the past. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. :D

The only thing that'll be frustrating, is trying to get in contact with these folks.

Maybe we pick 2 or 3 top new members and if the first one doesn't respond (or doesn't want to get involved), then I'll have a backup

If there was a way to incorporate this into the Web page other then just where stuff gets posted, say seperate page it would make it easier as well. Maybe a page where we can put the people nominated or what ever. Maybe post the top ones in each of the catagories that we come up with. That way we can see all of them at once.

    Just a thought!!

I still want them to add a EU (European Union) sub forum.
